Friday In the Fishbowl

Hello all!

It's that time again--Friday!  It's been a wonderful couple of weeks around the studio, and here's a look at what we've been up to.

Last week we picked up a bunch of original I Love You Californias from our show at Suite 5 and some of Eric's multi-colored Mid-Century chair prints and SF Icons printed on vintage maps, just as Annie started working on some new full-size 49 Mile Drives, which means that the studio is FILLED with our favorite paintings and prints.  We love having Annie's colorful and geometric California bears up on the wall.  Come by and check em out (and take one home--we did!)

Eric's been working on a new 14x24 linocut of the Bay Bridge in honor of its reconstruction--or maybe just because it doesn't get enough respect compared to its flashy red-headed cousin that gets all the love on the north end of the city.  But we love the Bay Bridge--its functional, well-designed, quietly beautiful, and we found a secret vantage point on Treasure Island from which to stare through the web of steel geometry and into the city.

We were obviously pretty excited to find such a hidden treasure on Treasure Island.

We just dropped off some new work with our friends at Zinc Details this week, and really excited about hanging up a show at Rare Device, just in time to open up their new location at Hayes and Divisadero, which will feature a nice collection of Annie's original paintings and Eric's classic prints.  We're also getting ready to hang some more of Eric's work at City Art Gallery, which will make its debut next Friday at the First Friday Reception.  Make sure to check it out!

Also, in case you haven't noticed (and hopefully haven't been too confused by it), we've been making a lot of changes to the website this week, adding and updating new work, reorganizing and simplifying our shop.  But don't worry!  Everything you love is still there, and you can always search the shop directly.  I Love You California prints of all sizes are now included in Digital Prints, and all the available 49 Mile Drive paintings are in the Original Paintings collection, as well as the Merde Girls and some new goodies off the wall from our "World of Annie Galvin" here at the studio.  Bears In Thoughtful Repose are included in our expanding selection of Works on Paper, so that we can include some of Annie's other excellent collage pieces.

New work!

Look for more goodies in the shop next week!

Have a great weekend!
