High Sierra

Carved and printed by hand, this new print is a study of the beauty of nature, ink, and paper. The subject is an ancient Sierra Juniper, growing on an exposed, dry, rocky slope in the higher Sierra Nevada Mountain elevations just an hour from our home and studio in Amador County, California.
The black ink impression is printed by hand from the block on a 22” x 28” hand-torn sheet of Rives BFK paper, with the ink impression overprinting a color background. This color method is a technique Eric has used successfully over the years, but never to this rich of an effect.
This run is limited to an edition of 50.
